Flatwater instruction sessions

Olympic paddler Amanda Rankin from Queensland Canoeing Inc will help improve club members’ paddling skills, for beginners and more advanced. Entries close 14 June.

The club obtained a government training grant to improve the club’s skills base. As part of this, we have organised a flatwater skills trip with qualified instructor Amanda Rankin from Queensland Canoeing.

There will be two sessions run at different times. One will be aimed at beginners (3h), and the other (3h) is for advanced paddlers.

Location: UQ Canoe club shed.

Time: Beginners 9AM – 12 noon
TIme: Advanced 1PM – 4 PM

There are limited places – six per session.

This event was made possible due to a club development grant awarded by the Queensland Government Department of Communities to improve the general skills and knowledge base of the club. The grant was part of the Department’s Sport and Recreation Inclusion Program (Club support category).
