Virtual Annual General Meeting 2020

There were not enough financial members attending on the 29th June to form a quorum. The AGM is being re-held on the Wed 15th July

It would be great if members can rejoin and attend – the club needs you!

The club is having its Annual General Meeting on Monday evening 15th July. This is an very important meeting for the club, so please put it in your diaries.  We need non- committee members to attend.

This year we will have a virtual AGM via Zoom. Please check your emails for link details.

To vote at the AGM you must be a current financial member.
Please review the 2020 membership renewal options that accounts for the club’s covid-19 hibernation, and plan to offset the 2020 downtime completely in 2021’s membership fee once we know how much time was lost. This way you can rejoin now and not lose out.

If we don’t have a quorum as per our club rules then we can’t have the meeting. If we don’t have this meeting the club will not be able to operate until we do.

The AGM is the meeting where members have an opportunity to join the club committee and become more involved, contributing to its activities for the following year. The club is entirely voluntary, so if too few people volunteer then this will limit the club for everyone. The club is only as good as its volunteers!

There are many opportunities for involvement, where this can be a minor or more major role on the committee. If you are interested in any of the positions (or any positions at all) please email the club secretary (Siti) and talk to current committee members.

All Positions are up for re-election. However the following are currently unfilled.

  • Membership
    Do routine admin and checks to keep the membership system progressing
  • Publicity
    Promote the club. Help coordinate come and try days / market days. Build you knowledge of how the club operates.
  • Other positions
    Some other positions will probably need to be filled as not all 2019 committee members will continue. Also some committee members are covering more than one position.

While this meeting should not take very long, it is a critically important meeting for the club, and we must have sufficient members attending to form a quorum. Please attend if you are able.
